Vishub is an interdisciplinary research lab and hub for teaching, collaboration, and outreach around data visualization.

Vishub investigates how visualization enables productive and critical forms of data exploration, communication, and “thinking through data” across a wide range of domains and environments.

Focusing on the design and study of data representations at large, including visualization and physicalization, the lab draws on diverse representation techniques and modes of engagement.

Its research is highly interdisciplinary and explores how visualization can make data analysis more accessible by supporting both experts and novices in understanding, exploring, and communicating complex data.

Working closely with domain experts, the lab addresses a range of topic areas, including climate change, digital humanities, peace development, and education.
